An energetic warm-up, followed by stretching and combinations across the floor, as well as fast-paced, technical, and fun choreography! Jazz can be seen everywhere from music videos to hit broadway shows. Jazz emphasizes style, technique, expression and sharp, strong movements.

Lyrical dance challenges dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. This is a very passionate and emotional dance style, one that conveys meaning and tells a story through every movement made.
Mondays, 8:00pm – 9:00pm
Uniform: Black or white tank top, black lyrical shorts, half-soles.
The focus of this dance class is on acrobatic skills. Students will learn floor tricks like rolls, cartwheels, walkovers and more, while developing strength, coordination, and flexibility. Students will take all the skills they learn throughout the year and combine them into a stunning choreography for the show.
Saturdays, 2:30pm – 3:30pm

Featuring an exciting blend of street-jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop movements, our fusion class is unlike any other! Expressive yet hard-hitting, dancers will learn an emotive choreography set to songs they love on the radio.
Thursdays, 8:00pm – 9:00pm
Uniform: Black or white top, black pants, half-soles.
Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sound of one’s tap shoes, hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. Tap dancing is one of the most entertaining, lighthearted, and classic of dance styles. It is a musical art form and a fun-filled way to develop rhythm, co-ordination and balance.
Wednesdays, 8:30pm – 9:30pm
Uniform: Black or white tank top, black leggings, tap shoes.
This class serves to further develop the technique of every dancer, no matter what their ability level. Jumps, turns, kicks, leaps, and other technical aspects of dance are perfected in this non-choreography class.
Wednesdays, 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Uniform: Black or white tank top, black leggings, black jazz shoes or half-soles.
Because it’s so much fun, it’s easy to forget that hip-hop dance also requires certain techniques and skills, beyond freestyle ability. This class teaches the fundamentals of hip-hop, such as popping, locking, isolations, and more. There is no choreography in this class.
Saturdays, 2:45pm – 3:45pm
Uniform: Black or white top, black pants, clean indoor running shoes.
Dancers will continue to develop grace, poise and confidence as they continue to develop their classical ballet technique based on the Cechetti method. At this age, the ballet program at Elite requires a compulsory 2 or 3 hours per week.
