Programs at Elite Dance Academy

Recreational Program

Elite is proud to offer a renowned recreational dance program for children and teens! Our recreational program is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of all the dance styles we offer, while keeping our number one priority in mind: having fun!

All of our recreational classes will spend the session learning various skills and combinations, and putting them together into a choreography to perform at our year-end recital. Recreational students typically register for one to three classes per week!

Competitive Program

Elite’s competitive team, World Dance Championship winners, offers the perfect opportunity for dancers looking for a new step and who show collaboration skills, team spirit, respect, and commitment to their teammates and the studio.

Our dynamic program challenges dancers to give their best while keeping in mind that dance is an art form to be enjoyed. Participation in our competitive program starts at age five, and every dancer who wishes to participate must attend our annual Placement Day in August.

Feel free to contact the studio for more information!

Elite Leadership

The Elite Leadership program is ideal for our young dancers who already demonstrate the skills we look for in our future teacher program. These dancers will have special responsibilities throughout the year and will be involved in the life of the dance studio. They may help in certain classes, with some administrative tasks, and lend a hand at special events. These dancers are preparing to one day become teachers at Elite.

Interested dancers must express their interest in August prior to the dance season. They must complete a form provided by the administration. Please note that dancers must be between 11 and 13 years old. Also, although the training program is free, each selected dancer must take a minimum of three dance classes per week in order to remain enrolled in the program.

Future Teachers

Elite Dance Academy is proud to offer a training program for future dance teachers. The three-year program prepares our dancers to work in the dance world. Our current graduates now work at Elite, dance professionally, and continue their post-secondary studies.

Auditions take place at the end of August each year. If you are interested in this training program, please contact us to schedule an interview. Please note that dancers must be 14 years old and up. Also, although the training program is free, each selected dancer must take a minimum of four dance classes per week in order to remain enrolled in the program.
